Oakland Museum offsite exhibition at Oakland Airport

I am pleased to announce that a recent work of mine was chosen by the Oakland Museum to be exhibited at the Oakland International airport as part of their off site exhibitions in coordination with the 100th anniversary of CCA(c). The work will be on exhibit between october 17th and january 13th, so if you are traveling from the Oakland airport during this time please take a moment to check it out, in the walkway between the two terminals.

Picture Progress
An Evening of Art and Politics

Date: Friday, March 31st, 2006
Location: Red Ink Studios
52 Ninth Street , 94103 (between Mission & Market )
Time: 6:30pm-late, Auction from 6:30pm-10:30pm

You are invited to the League of Young Voters second annual silent art auction,
Picture Progress, on March 31st, 2006. You'll see artwork from some of San
Francisco's best artists side by side with the city's young, emerging artists. It
will be an exciting show with over eighty artists using a variety of mediums and
styles. Drinks, food, jazz and great company provided.

There will be short speeches by State Assemblyman Mark Leno, SF People's
Organization President Jane Kim, League of Young Voters California Organizer Natasha
Marsh and Vote 415 Core Organizers Heather Carllson (also UHW Training Director) and
Pilar Schiavo (SF Labor Council Political Director).

Proceeds from the auction will support the League of Young Voters' work to support
San Francisco's Stop Homicide Now! Campaign, train hundreds of young organizers
around the state, lower Community College fees, and increase the number of young
voters and organizers through our Rep Your Block program. sf.indyvoter.org

A wide range of art and artists will be displayed-from sculptures to paintings to
photography to ceramics. Participating artists include John Fortes, Lewis Watts,
Ray Potes, Norman Locks, Marlon Ingram, Ingeborg Gerdes, Ian Scalzo, Sofia Bowart,
Ian Scalzo, Justin Mata, Andy Paiko, Amy Woloszyn, Teresa Norris, Lars Rasmussen and
many more!

Canceled Flight: The Exhibitions, showcases illustrations from the
“Canceled Flight: 101 Tried and True pigeon Killin’ Methods” book
created by A.V. Jones. With works by more than 85 artists, The Pigeon
Show has previously shown in NY at The Reed Space, and continues on
after Receiver Gallery in San Francisco, to Los Angeles' Lab 101 and
Denver's Andenken Gallery.

Featuring the art of Tiffany Bozic, Brendan Monroe, Dalek, kozyndan,
Nago Richardis, Sirron Norris, Nate Van Dyke, Saiman Chow, Chris Pew,
Honest, Paul Urich, David Choe, Ezra Li Eismont, Derrick Hodgson,
Freddi C, GH, Marq Spusta, Peter Sutherland, Ferris Plock, Ryan

Open Studios/ San Rafael Chalk art festival

EAST BAY OPEN STUDIOS
Charity and I will have our studio open the FIRST WEEKEND ONLY of open studios, that is
June 4th and 5th
We will be open all day, from 10am til 6pm.
I will have much of my older work out at bargain prices, set to move, so I can make room for the newer work. ( I am working on some newer pieces that will be shown @ the INferno gallery in late June).
We also will have on display and for a sale a rack of custom designed one off clothing designed by various Bay Area artist for our new clothing Project "Remade in America" a line of refurbished hand made clothes by local artists.
We are only doing the first weekend of open studios because the second weekend we will be in San Rafael doing a chalk drawing for the chalk festival up there.
